But most of us are aware of that rack which is very nice but too expensive for me. I think Marc Ritter has one. Their listed price is 495 GBP translates to about $782 before shipping which, for this rack would be at least another $400. $1,100 is too much for my needs. But, I'm glad that Safety Devices has a web page. Salesman told me they could sell the Disco with the British Police piping less the word Police. Got a spare $35,000.00 for a Dalamation colored Disco. Had cleaned the top half twice with no results. In fact, things seemed to be getting worse! Before taking off the carb, I removed the threaded metal pipe that serves as a vacuum source for the brake master cylinder. Really spent my time cleaning that carb. Finally finished and bolted it back down on the intake manifold. Replaced the fuel filter with a micropore metal one from Napa. I hope that will keep anymore old fuel tank gunk from getting to the carb. I may also stick another filter in line nearer the gas tanks, as I saw someone else here on the net suggest. At any rate the carb goes on fine. So while trying to get the threaded pipe back on, I strip the threads! My tap and die set doesn't go up to the correct diameter and nothing is open this evening. So guess I'll just have to wait until Monday P.M. Poor Daisy hasn't seen much of the road since the new engine went in. It's a real bear being an addict and not getting my daily LR fix. At least I got it running for a couple of minutes this afternoon. Had the wifey pooh turn the ignition switch while I kept my finger over the hole in the manifold. Daisy fired right up!
